So you had the same identical problem as me and it was the sail switch.
How did you check that the problem as the sail switch? No current to switch?
Also, disconnecting shore power and disconnecting the batteries might reset everything ?
Thanks for the replies
When I moved the thermostat switch up.... all I would here is a click sound. I could bang on the top and sides of the furnace and it would fire up. I had to call a mobile service man to replace the switch. He told me this is a very common problem with the Suburban furnace. I think it is called a sail switch because there ia a little piece of metal in the switch that moves to make contact when the blower moves it "with wind" to make contact. The part was $21.00. Good Luck!

enblethen wrote: If the fan does not start then there should be a resettable circuit breaker on the fan housing. Your late model rig probably has the time delay built on the circuit board. You didn't want to hear that did you? Dinoaur Electronics is a better circuit board.
Check the circuit breaker in furnace first.
Rick: A sail switch is a small microswitch with an arm that sticks into the fan assembly. When the fan blows over it, it closes to allow the burner to lite the flame.
Thanks enblethen , if it was a snake it would have bit me.

I don't think its the sail switch. That switch signals the gas valve to open once the blower is up to full speed or 75% I think. My blower wont even power up.
I will have to trouble shoot this over the week-end. Thanks for all the help. I will report my findings later. Thanks again

The blower not powering up could be the time delay relay. Depending on exact model it could be on the circuit board. Earlier models have it separate. You could look it is about one inch cube with two small and two larger connectors.
What is the model of your furnace?

I know if my unit has set for awhile with the gas turned off it takes some effort to get the propane back to the appliances refrig and furnace. Try to turn on the gas stove (light a burner) and get some gas rolling. Just a thought.

I stand corrected. It could be the sail switch. This switch is normally open but if it stuck in the closed position it would give the problem I'm having. I will
check everything this week-end. Thanks again

Yeah, thanks, I've had that issue before and with my hot water heater. Took a few tries to fire up.
