OK, I did a search, followed a lot of dead links, looked at posts that no longer had their pics. I have to ask.
What size socket do I need to pull the anode on my water heater? I have none that fit at home, they are either too large or too small.
This is for a Suburban gas/electric water heater in a 2010 Roo21ss.

Every year I wonder so I wrote it on the steel next to the bung. 1-1/16" or 27mm as noted previously.
Requires an extension to get in there too.
My anode is still good to go after completing five (5) seasons. Campground water hasn't been hard on it at all. I don't drain the tank unless we'll be inactive for a month or more.

FWIW: Many socket sets only go up to 1". I use a 1" with a cut off brad-nail stuck in it to take up slack---works like a champ!

Not sure what water heater you have but this will not work for the OP. They use a 1-1/16" socket and an extension. I also wrote it on the inside of the water heater cover in permanent marker so I don't have to guess each year. I hate to winterize, it means camping is over till next spring.
