Went to Glamis last weekend and found out our heater isn't working.
The thermostat clicks like its getting a signal but the blower fan doesn't come on like normal. Checked all fuses. Was thinking maybe the thermostat could still be bad but didn't want to take it apart and lose the ac. I can't access the heater as it is under the entertainment center and it looks like they will need to be removed. So, before I take it in, where should I look next?

What kind of thermostat and a/c unit is it? On Dometic AC units, there is a control box behind the ceiling panel that splits the signal from the thermostat between the AC and furnace. If the box fails the furnace will not run, click only.
One way to check is to pull the thermostat off the wall and take the 2 blue wires and touch them together. If the furnace and its board are good, the furnace will run. It just won't turn off till you disconect the wires.

thanks rich...yes the ac only clicks when the thermostat is adjusted for the heater to come one. i will try your trick with the thermostat.
if by connecting the blue wires together causes the heater to work...do i then replace the thermostat or is the control box in the ceiling with the ac unit?

If the previous posters suggestion does help. The Factory troublshooting guides for most common RV furnaces are at Bryant RV website.
HERE
IME furnace repairs go faster and better if the factory troubleshooting steps are followed in order due to the way a furnace operates. Many will tell you to take a dart board approach but that could lead you to removing/installing the firnace several times -if it is a Suburban brand......

It would be the control box in the ceiling part of the AC unit. No darts here, common repair.

Ours was just a loose lead going to the heater box (under the fridge). Sure does make for some cold camping though.

Where is the sail switch.
Where is the heater blower? Is it part of the heater it self?

Typical RV furnace is a self contained unit that has the blower, burner chamber and electronics in one package. Depending on the furnace brand and model -service maybe possible without removal of the unit. First step is to determine the brand and model of the unit involved. Without knowing what brand and model you are lost before starting.............Testing involves using an Volt/ohm meter to verify values at electrical components.

The sail switch is up inside of the heater we had to take ours apart a few times really, The blower would come on then shut down.
Took a few time to figure out (well the stealer)it was the sail switch and ofcourse when it happened it was the NY's trip 2 yrs ago when it was 35 degrees at spangler! We now keep small elec. heaters in there just in case, And a heater buddy since we have the propane bottles for the bbq any way.
