I have a 2000 Fleetwood Flair with electric slide rooms. My rear room has gone out about 5 inches and will not go back in our out. Is there a manual release Any suggestions?
Thanks

From what I know the electric slides have an overload protective device that prevents movement if the current is too high. One thing that can cause high current is low voltage. Are the batteries in good repair and fully charged?
I found my overload device on an opposite wall from the slide under the sink. I took a picture of it with my digital camera, and then put the part numbers into the internet and it came back with "overload relay" and it's purpose.

I think the batteries are ok but the MH is connected to shore power. If connected to shore power, does it still use the batteries, perhaps you hit the problem?

Yes, it would still use the batteries, and it would also use the extra boost from the battery charger too I would think. I would think it would be like jump starting a car from another car's battery, or jumping a car with the other car running.
Maybe others can say what happens when you reach overload. Is there an overload reset somewhere?

try it with the engine running. make sure all fuses are good. if all is ok may be a bad motor or controller. there is a brake release lever @ the back of the motor, but you will have to wrench the room in good luck.

To answer your question.... Yes, there is a manual release IF it is an electric slide. You need to look at the moter and there should be a small lever on one end. try moving the lever and see if the slide will move then. If not that will at least release allow the slide to be cranked in manually.

When I had the same problem, I called the manufacturer and was told to check the fuse box. Sure enough, a 15 amp fuse was blown. I replaced it and the slide workes fine

are other slides operating properly? I had a powergear motor strip out on my slide. There was some grinding noise in that case.

I was opening the slide and stopped for a moment to speak to my wife. When I tried to move it again it makes a hum noise but will not move. I tried pushing it back in but no luck. If it hums I assume it has power but I guess it could be low battery voltage. I just assumed it did not use batteries when connected to shore power. I will charge batteries and retry.
for those that know about the lever, there is a silver ring piece on the back of the motor, would I turn the ring our just pull it one direction or the other to release the motor?
