I was surprised today to find out how many lines of toy haulers that Forest River manufactures. SHOCKWAVE, SANDSTORM, and STEALTH are all made in Rialto, CA. Then there is WOLF PACK, WORK & PLAY and XLR, all made somewhere else. With that lineup, they have a huge percentage of the market. I went through a SHOCKWAVE F34SKSP today at the local dealership and was impressed. It had a long list of options installed and was very nice. It had 16" wheels and LT tires which I liked. The underside was open and exposed which I did not like. But all in all a real nice unit.
Has anyone looked at the STEALTH lately? It's like being inside a WEEKEND WARRIOR. There must be some of the old Parris gang working there now. And speaking of WEEKEND WARRIOR, I talked to the parts guy today to purchase something I needed and he told me that they are real close to starting their production line again. Which is good news for all the Warrior guys who have been out of work. Let's hope they make it.

I bought a Stealth SS1812 a few months back. So far trouble free. No problems with anything to date. Mine has a double bed up front which isn't bad for an 18 footer. I did replace the dog bed it came with with a 12" Spa Sensations Memory Foam Mattress from Walmart. That's the only major mod so far. The Stealth Limited is loaded, has everything, all options. I'm very happy so far.

We love the layout of our Wolfpack, and yes, its converter was DOA (like Blue Toyhauler), and replaced by the dealer immediately. Only real major problem was sagging holding tank. FR sent a couple thin metal strips for the dealer to install. Will soon see if that seemingly flimsy fix will actually do the job.

We recently purchased a Forest River 30' Work and Play, getting ready to take our very first trip in it around the end of this month, Michigan to Texas, plan to live in it 5 or 6 months at a time. We've been fixing and adding a lot of things that we thought should have been done in the first place (like the tie-downs, wheel chock, under-coating, beavertail, etc.), but we're learning. After reading this forum for awhile, it seems that everyone has to work at least a few kinks out of their rigs and add and modify things to suit their own needs and comfort level. We're a little bit nervous and VERY excited about this new beginning. You can see pics of it by just clicking on our blog.

I'm looking at Forest River Work and Play since they appear to be the only ones that make a toyhauler that will hold and transport my 5k lb Toyota rock crawler. It's good to hear they make pretty good units.

I saw the Shockwave 34SKSP at South Hill RV Sales. Family owned dealership that has been in business for years.
