I am awaiting delivery of a new 2008 E-4. The salesman called and tried to get me to buy some useful options. One of these was a Remote controlled 12-volt power lift. However, the E4 Model Additional Standard Features in the Coleman catalog lists a Remote Controlled 12- volt factory installed power lift. Aren't these one and the same? Thanks, Walt Chapman

Coleman E-4 has an 8ft front deck for putting 4 wheelers or cycles on. Otherwise, a 14 ft. pop-up.

Walt,

Congratulations on purchasing the E4 and I know you will enjoy it.

Now, where exactly are you are seeing the 12 volt lift as a standard option? The FTCA web site lists the 12 volt lift system as an available option for the 2008 E4. I did not see anything in the 2008 E4 brochure that suggest the lift system was a standard feature.

It was in the 2009 catalog but evidently not in the 2008. Thanks for your reply. I could not find a 2008 catalog so was not sure what was listed as standard features. The Coleman Customer Service people has told me the only difference between the 2008 and 2009 model E4s was the cabinet material but I have discovered that was not true.

According to the site posted above the 12v Power Life system is an available option - not a standard feature?

You are right but in the printed catalog itself, it is listed in the Additional Standard Features section. That may be a misprint and the source of the confusion. A microwave is also listed in the same section but must be purchased. Either way, i'm excited about the camper.
