Here a the link to a tethering story for the new Droid (Verizon will tether) but they are also saying that T-Mobile has already stopped it and Sprint will ban it in 2010.

Your title is a bit misleading. Sprint will only be blocking tethered use on smart phones using an "Everything" plan. Anyone that's paying for the tethered "Phone-As-Modem" option that's not available for the "Everything" plans, will not be affected by the change.

Sprint executive David Owens said that the carrier will no longer allow data tethering on its network starting in 2010.
