My choice considering build quality only would be between the Jayco and the Carriage.

Today is just the tomorrow you worried about yesterday!

Howdy!

We've been very pleased with our Carr-Lite 36XTRM5 and would buy another Carriage. Just wish Carriage would start making Toy Haulers again.

You might want to check out the carriage yahoo group for more info.

No single manufacturer builds a perfect RV each and every time so there is no guarantee that whatever brand you buy (or how much you pay for it) it will deliver the kind of value and durability you expect. The companies you mentioned all build quality units but just as important is that you purchase your unit from a dealer that has a reputation and commitment to excellent customer service after the sale. Enjoy your new (?) 5er.

You did a great job narrowing down your list to what is basically the "cream of the crop" when it comes to RV Manufacturers that are great, customer oriented and service driven companies!

Heartland builds a great unit, lots of standard equipment and is a new company growing by leaps and bounds! Innovative and experienced bunch of investor/owners give you a good value and well made RV!

Carriage also has the reputation of a being around for 40 years, has had a great couple of years, and give you a great 2 year warranty. Carriage has a philosophy very much like Jayco, in that they manufacturer virtually every part of the RV that they can make themselves! Woodwork, cabinets, furniture, etc...crafted right there at their facility.

NuWa is in the same class as these other guys, innovative, long term builders of quality RV's. NuWa has been building 5th wheels longer than virtually anyone else out there! They still use wood construction, as their belief is that wood is still a good construction material when used in conjunction with aluminum and modern lamination techniques, they call it "hybrid construction". NuWa has never had any of the frame failure issues some others have had. NuWa has a 1 year warranty.

And the Jayco has the 2 year warranty with some of the best customer service in the industry, and the Jayco Family has been around for 42 years thru the good and bad RV years. And Jayco is also having a banner year, with back ordered RV's and folks waiting for deliveries. Jayco says that when you buy a RV you become a member of their family.

You can't go wrong with any of these guys! Pick the features and floorplan that you prefer and go fer it! As I said, they are among the very best!

But I'm a satisfied 7 time Jayco owner, so guess which I'd choose?

A Jayco is not just an RV, it's a way of life!

Fordsooperdooty said it best, you've pick some top quality RV manufactures, now it comes down to fit and finish, floor plan, available options, colors and if the DW could stay in your RV for 3 days while its raining outside! Make sure you RV choice can accomidate a larger refrig, second AC, larger hot water tank, higher BTU furnace. We purchased our Heartland Sundance 3300SK since last August 2008 and have lived in it for 12 months and haven't had a serious problem. Good luck!!

The one we have was made in Winchester,Va,that plant has closed and no nearby dealers. They no longer make the size we now have either and wouldn't consider going smaller than what we have.
