mwebber78,I have been talking to an agent at RVW & my local dealer is thousands from the price that RVW quoted. My local dealer called me up Saturday & asked me if i brought from RVW yet,And i told him how far he was off & he could not believe it & asked if i would bring in the purchase agreement,He's just down the the road so i did,He was not happy he said he can't even buy them for that price & i believe him,He said he is going to get to the bottom of this today,He really could not believe the price different.I still half to send the form for them to charge my credit card if i buy RVW,I hope my local dealer can get them to build one for the same price,He needs the buiness & he's a good guy,I do believe they give RVW a better price because they sell alot more.

I was satisfied with my local dealer who ordered a unit for me. In the end I felt a "premium" over RVW was fair becuase the unit I ordered had a few extra options and it would have cost me about $1500 to pickup the unit and burn up a vacation day/weekend.

Also, I had already bought a unit previously from them. My dealer was also able to discount the cost of the hitch, install and some accessories. I am still very pleased that I cross-shopped my dealer and RVW, I am especially pleased that I supported a local company and we came to an agreed fair price for both parties.

Good luck in your shopping, can't wait to see what you end up with.

WOW! Yea mine was within about $3000 but that was less after I took into consideration the discount on hitch/install, acessories and travel $$$.

6K is significant. I think you have your answer already! At least you tried to make a local sale.

Yea i do too,Thing is there pullrite superglide hitch is the cheapest oline that i can find also,I told him i wouldn't do anything until i here from him,I'am sure he won't be able to come close. The thing is he may be on the verge of closing,You don't ever see to many people there.I know it's bad everywhere but here in MI it might be even worse.

You guys think 5-6 k is a lot. You should see the dealers up here in Canada. I am just waiting to sell off my old trailer before buying from RVW and the price difference on 30sk Provincial is going to be in the area of close to 15-17k. That is even if I pay the $2600 to have it delivered and meet the driver at the border. That is way too much for a small difference and support the local guys. I know they probably sell more and get a better deal form the mfg but where is the point that as a buyer you cannot afford to buy a product because the price difference is way out of line. The fellow from RVW claims on an email he sent they send 250 units a year just to Alberta alone. Even if that is a high number that means a lot of Canadian dealers a are missing a lot of sales and service as well being they won't service what they won't sell.

I just sold my TT to a guy from Ontario CA,I had an offer from somebody here for $4000 & he called & said he would be here that night & would give me $4500 sight on seen,He told me that it was worth more like 8,000 in Ontario,Sounded like he had to pay alot of different fees at the boarder,Good guy he ended up having supper with us & talked about his & are health care system.

Actually the border is the easiest. We only pay the infamous 5 per cent gst and about 200 inspection fee and off we go. That is why so many people bring up cars and rv's from the U.S. as when you find out the cost it is minimal and quite easy as long as you have all the correct paperwork.

Gonecamping44, I sent you a PM about the Open Range. And yes you are right about the factory, they do go way out of their way to please you. I dealt with Dave Holland (Warranty) and he was super. I wrote Randy Graber a note and told him how I was treated.
