Have a chance to look at a new '08 Flagstaff 8528 RLWS by Forest River. Asking price is 32K. We're thinking of moving up from our 25' TT. Any thoughts on layout and/or quality of Flagstaff since I am very much unfamiliar with 5'ers? Thanks for any help?

We have the Flagstaff 8528 RKSS. (see sig below)
We have been pretty happy with it so far.
A few minor issues but the dealer took care of them.

The tires that come on them are usually cheapo chinese tires.
If you can, make them replace them with a good quality american made tire. Lots of threads here about this issue.

If it has the A&E electric awning make sure it has the tilting attachment already installed. A&E has been sending these out free to the dealerships.

I should expect them to be at least 25% off MSRP on a 2008 model.
Do a couple of web searchs and see whats out there. This will give you a good idea of market value.

Have fun.

I think that is way to high priced. These links are from a camping place out of Iowa. I bought a TT from them in 2007 then sold it this year and now I'm looking for a fifth wheel. They are very nice people and have a huge camping business. But you could use this to get them to come down on their price where you are trying to buy. Good luck

I'd advise you to take a look at the RV Direct web site and save about 30% on that price (or more). They sell the Rockwood which is identical to the Flagstaff except for some cosmetic items like fabric colors and wallpaper patterns. It SOUNDS like they've got them priced pretty close to MSRP and NOBODY pays MSRP.
