I would tend to agree with the others - I guess "good" customer service doesn't mean "competent" customer service necessarily. In 2003 we had one of the worse dealers out there, but he still fell out of his chair and scrambled to the service truck when he heard me say "lost a wheel" over the phone on our maiden voyage.
Also agree with others that it settles down when you get the bugs shaken out. We made a small list of repair items that had some fairly critical issues like brake problems, tire wear, and even counter replacement. Took it in once to the "new" Dealer, all was fixed before we left the next day, including some stuff we didn't see, and haven't needed to go back since. In fact, we have had nearly trouble free trips the last couple of years.
We took delivery our 06 3400 Montana in May of 06 and we..hit the road. We had our share of "out of the factory problems" most minor one or two major that were corrected along the way under warranty. In April of 07 one month before the end of warranty, we went to the Keystone service center with a list of 26 things that we wanted corrected. mostly minor, like slides out of adjustment? Loose molding, leaking faucets. We took note of everything we did not like no matter how minor. We were there for 4 days. They took that camper apart and corrected every issue including things we did not know were wrong. The result was that we have had few issues since then. It is unfortunate that there is not better quality and workmanship out of the factory and we have to deal with these, IMO preventable, problems. but that's the way it is in the world of rv'ing.
Ratfink...Assume you have alloy rims. You should be sure to check lug nut torque at 10 Miles, Again at 25 miles, And again at 50 Miles, 100, etc. It does take a while for alloy rims to settle in with the lug nut torque. Until then, they will loosen. After a while they will stop loosening. But, when new wheels are mounted, the lug nuts need to be checked often. Did your dealer probably tell you that?

Yes that was my post. Dealer said re-torque at 50 miles. That was it! Five lug nuts broken off and three left on hub. How the hell did the wheel come off! Lug nuts were gone, but three studs were left on the hub Said it was for liability issues to follow factory torque specs! Should have known better! Will never let my guard down again!

Unfortunate and sounds unusual so don't get discouraged. We've had our small used 1999 5th wheel for 6 years and we have had some repairs and a few problems but nothing like you are describing.
Glad that is you and not another with the same problem. Don't fall off, I don't think the dealer will cover that bill. Get it wrapped up today have a cold one and start your plans for next season. I'm sure everything will be just fine now. Have a nice winter.
