DENTMAC: What do you mean? Which models? What is your source?
I'm just asking....
www.tiffinrvnetwork.com. It is the owners group web site, not the Tiffin company web site. Everything would want to know about Tiffin Motorhomes, the good and the bad. Go over there and register and check in.

The overweight axles (15500# or so are on a 14600 front axle) are on some of the 42/43 Allegro Bus on a Spartan, PowerGlide or Freightliner chassis. The tag axled coaches have no problems with loading on the rear axles. The 40' coaches have 20000 or 22000# and are generally not overloaded unless you have a motorcycle lift or are bringing your rock collection along.

We are in our 2nd Phaeton ('07) and have enjoyed every mile of them both! We did have one problem with weight on the passenger side rear axle--was 1100 lbs heavier than the driver's side. So be sure, like Dentmac said, to get the 4 corners weighed ASAP (full fuel & propane, and the coach loaded for a big trip). And, yes, Bob Tiffin really looks out for his customers! He's also got a grandson who's a pretty fair place kicker! Jim

Regardless- One should weigh before purchasing. Yhe weights in the coach are often far off. Even tag axle RV's are sometimes overweight on the front without cargo. (with Full fuel)--
This is from a forum:

--------------- I weighed the coach on a CAT scale immediately after leaving the dealer lot and before we loaded a single personal item. I gave Tiffin a copy of the printout in early August when we were at the Tiffin service center. In a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Tiffin I offered to show him a weight sheet I had done showing weights on all axles and wheels. He was not interested in seeing the sheet and during the meeting told us the issue became less as fuel was consumed. So far I understand they may have arbitrarily changed the front axle rating on the Powerglide chassis front axle to 15,600 lbs and have asked Spartan to see if the rating on my axle can be changed to 15,600 or a 1,000 lb change from the current 14,600 lb rating. I was told Spartan would do some testing in Arizona during November and we would be notified of the results in January. Tiffin is also going to change the front wheels as the current ones are not rated for the current tire weight.

Thank you to all the posters on my question. I'll relay the information to my friend who is looking to buy. I told him that this was a great place to post a question as he'd get some good input. I appreciate all the comments....good or bad.
