Is it fair to compare the MPG and pollution of a 9 passenger Suburban versus a 4 passenger subcompact? Take this example. An 8 passenger Saturn Outlook (or Chevy Traverse) gets 24 MPG highway. With full loads, that is equal to a subcompact getting 48 MPG highway because it can carry twice as many passengers and it would take two compacts. I don't think you see many cars other than some hybrids or diesels getting that kind of milage.
When are we going to start taking into consideration the number of passengers a vehicle can carry? Some people will say that SUVs usually only have one passenger. I cannot argue with that. On the other side, what happens when a family of 6 wants to go on vacation?
Boys, boys, boys, are you two trying to melt my computer's screen again?
I actually saw that as a good exchange of information...
