So here where I live it gets down to at the coldest 20 degress (and maybe once a year at that). I would still like to be able to use my trailer without have it all winterized though.

Is there anything you guys can recommend that I could do to keep it where I could still take it out for a weekend if it was nice without having to de-winterize, without spending a ton of money?

Or am I pretty much out of luck?

Where do you keep your trailer? If it has power I would put an electric heater in it, set at as low as you can, say 40 and one underneath it to keep the tanks from freezing. You'd have to put some type of barrier around it to hold in the heat a little, like some plywood or a tarp.

The other solution for the tanks is heat strips. They should have some at the RV store or online and then wrap the tanks with insulation as best you can.

You could just drain the water tanks and the low point drains and blow out the water lines with an air hose. You can get the air hose adapter at wal mart in the rv section for about $3. It screws into the city water connection under the trailer. You adjust the regulator on the air tank or compressor to about 40psi and use an air chuck like you would use for a tire. Than cup your hand around the drain in the sink and showers and use a blow gun to blow the water out of the p traps. It won't cost you anything when you winterize the trailer because you dont use any RV antifreeze. Or you could pour some antifreeze in the p traps. You wouldn't even use a 1/4 gallon of the pink stuff. When your ready to go out for a weekend just put water in and go.

I'll second emort's comments, we used our toy hauler and now motorhome pretty much up till January, at that time I put it down for a couple of months. I just drain all the water, blow the lines and dump a bit of pink stuff in the drains. The other key thing is to suck up just enough pink stuff to replace any water in your water pump. I can buy a couple gallons for several trips through the winter.

I do the same thing that emort mentioned. It has worked great for me so far because I don't have to dewinterize the trailer to use it for the weekend. No problems in the past couple years doing it that way. Make sure to remember to drain your hot water heater and to refill it before you turn it back on.

i'd say there around 15-20 days of freezing nights. During the day maybe up to low 40's. Usually doesn't get super cold here

I would winterize and just in case we get another freak snow/freeze storm like last year. It's only a few bucks to winterize and not that hard. Looks like we may be close if you need a hand let me know.
