The spare was an option on my TT.

Kind of reminds me of a car show I went to, a fellow had a '50s Corvette, and had the origianl invoice. The oil filter was an add on option!

IIRC from my high school auto shop, the early ('55 MY) Chevy small blocks, didn't have an oil filter.

Use care when mounting spare tire to back bumper, some of those "bumpers" are not strong enough to support tire and wheel. Light weight tube meant only to store sewer hose.

I just purchased my first TT as well (used). I made the dealer throw it in as part of the deal and had them mount it. I also tested my lug wrench for my car -- too big, so I am going to pick up one that fits and throw it in.

I have to check, but my insurance company includes roadside assistance for my car. I am going to see if it also includes a trailer.

my '93 5ver never had a spare, I put one on myself on the bumper where the sewer hose goes and it did just fine.

My 2nd 5ver has a spare tire under the frame just between the landing gear so I am kind of amused by it.

Vintage two-axle Airstreams didn't come with one, either. The manual says to take off the flat and drive to the next station with the flat unmounted. (Vintage one-axle rigs were out of luck and had to carry a spare.)

My TT came with the LE option package which is what my dealer normally stocks. The package included A/C, awning, and spare tire. Not going to sell many units down here without A/C so you get the whole bundle.

well now I have to figure out how to get my spare tire off now that I've seen this... I have two crank handles, one for the stab jacks in the back and another one which I haven't a clue where it goes yet (maybe for the spare tire?)

I have no manual crank for the landing gear as it is fully electric.
