Not a good idea-

BS. And the least you could do is justify your comment.

Would be good to know your axle weights but I'll say you're fine. I tow a 26' TT that I have weighed at 6,000# with a Tahoe that I also weighed ready for towing (Generators in back w/Firewood loaded)at 6,000# and it tows great.

My uncle also tows a different model (Surveyor) that is a 26' with his Tahoe and it does great as well. He's got better gearing (3.73s to my 3.42s) but we both do great and I feel it's a great combo for space/ease of towing.

If a V8 Tahoe can't pull a 26' TT, tell me why I was able to pull my 25' 4,200# loaded TT with my Pathfinder 3.5 L V6 for the last 7 years with absolutely no trouble at all...

Doe's the GM engines has "Pony power" instead of "Horse power ?

I think the class III hitch would be my concern, as a class III hitch is rated for 5000lbs. The OP has stated his GVWR of the trailer was 6400lbs. The hitch won't break the minute you put it on it, but it sure will be subject to stress that it wasn't designed for, and create problems later. BUT that's JMO.

Personally, I would not worry about the class III hitch too much either, as "most", not all, but most of them become class IV's with a WD system attached. So reality is, the strength issue is probably not an issue.

I'll still be the lone wolf, the payload is the issue, power is ok to good, the 5.3 is on par with the old days 350's, one just has to run the rpm's up some, probably in the 3500-4500 range while going up a hill.........I do not have issue pulling a 6500-8000 lb trailer with a small trackhoe or bobcat with my C2500 and a 255HP 350, nor did have issues with pulling my old fleetwood 24C at 6000 lbs the few times I pulled it either.
