We will be at Cerro Alto campground near Morro Bay in mid December and will need a dump station on the trip home. Any suggestions for a dump station between Morro Bay and Sacramento will be appreciated.

The thing about both of those stops is it allows you to continue the use of your own rest room while you travel, and then it is not that far to Sacramento after you dump.
I believe there is a dump station at Morro Bay State Park. You will probably need to pay the "day use" fee ($8) at the park to use it. Call the park first to verify the dump station is open -- 805-772-2560.

We drove through that campground when we were visiting our daughter who lives near there. The road is very, very tight. You might be too big, if you are taking the rig in your signature.

I think you are confusing Morro bay state park with Morro strand park. Morro bay state park has wide roads and yes the dump is at the rear of the park. I don't know the charge for use of the dump, but I was there in June and had no problem camping or using the dump.

If he can get into Cerro Alto, Morro Bay State Park will be very easy.
If you don't want to haul a full tank to Hwy 5 its only 5 miles to Morro Bay. There are two private campgrounds (Morro Dunes and Morro Strand). Both are just on the west side of Hwy 1 after the stop sign at 41 and Main St. The other thought is Wine Country RV park in Paso Robles. Only about a 15 mile pull and just a few feet off 46 if you plan to take that route home. If you plan to take 101 to 152 I believe the rest stops north of Paso Robles are still closed for remodeling.

Nope he said Cerro Alto. It's a federal campground, and the road is very tight getting. It's on a creek, in a ravine. Single width road for the most part, with low hanging branches.
