DW & I are going to be making a trip to Lafayette, La. We have family there (in Scott) & we're looking to be there in a couple of weeks. Does anyone have any recommendations for an RV park in that area that;s close to Scott & is not one of those 'parking lot' RV parks?? The only parks we found on the web are Frog City and Pouce's. Frog City looks like it might be a parking lot type, but not sure.
Appreciate any help

How about the Lafayette KOA right there in Scott. Nice Park. has a little lake you can walk around. It has been several years since we stayed there but I though It was an ok Park.

We liked Frog City. It does have a small pool. A little better than a parking lot, maybe.

A visit to Pre Jean's would make the trip even more enjoyable! Love that place!

KOA Lafayette/Scott would be the best close choice. Down the road about 15 miles on I10 is Cajun Palms RV resort in Henderson new and upper end type resort, but busy on the weekends.

You can stay at Red Shoes Rv Resort in Kinder....62 miles away. Nice place with full amenities and casino....18/night. I'm just sayin....or the KOA is just fine if you are really spending lots of time with relatives

Red Shoes is super. A little far away but a great place. They did have a coupon on line, I believe it was pay for three nights and get two free, not sure if its still there. We used it this passed spring. Its also easy to get comped for your stay. Poches Fish N Camp is a super park not too far from Lafayette. Its a Passport America park, if you are a member. Its in Breaux Bridge LA.

Since people are recommending casino rv park possiilities, you may want to consider the Cyprus Bayou rv park. It's approx $10/nite all cement and great security. Below Layayette on 49.

There is also Bayou Wilderness RV Resort just north of Lafayette in Carencro off of I49. This park has full hookups.
