The old caulking around the front edges of my 5th wheel is old and cracking. Going to stripe and clean it off and need to know what caulking to use. Camping World has 2 different sealants but not sure which to use, ProFlex Flexible sealant and Dicor Self Leveling Lap sealant. At first I just simply added more silicone to the caulking cracks but now I figure it is best to stripe it all and put 1 fresh coat on the edge. Please advise before I start making a mess, Thanks

The Dicor Self leveling is for on the roof. So I guess I would use the Proflex.

I don't know if anyone else had this problem but I found that if I cut the tip donw just to the minimum way to much caulk comes out and I make a huge mess. I tired using a metal coat hanger and melting it into the tip and it worked pretty well.

Fist off you'll have to remove ANY residue from the silicone (and that's not going to be easy) as almost nothing will stick once silicone has been used. That's why the higher end manufacturers never use silicone as the primary sealant.

Look at Eternbond tape and you will not have to worry about calking again.

Is the window sealant for application on the outside of the window? I was at a high powered car wash trying to get the grit off the front on MH and there was leakage at top of window.

Thanks.
