I want to disconnect out Quickee steps so I can put jacks under them for support while we winter in Texas.

We have a 1999 HR Endeavor.

But I do not have a clue where the fuse is located. Do I cut the motor wires? Prefer not to.

I do not want the steps retracting while there is something holding them up because it will break the link or cause some other damage.

I know there some breakers back by the batteries, but they are not marked and I hate to do trial and error on them.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks - John

Just open the steps and turn them off in the open position. Thats what I do on a regular basis. I use a step support under mine anytime we are in the same location for more than a couple days.

We have been here 3 weeks and I bumped the switch once and they closed, now I started the engine to burn off some fuel, and of course, the steps retracted.

I replaced that link once and it is not an easy task, and I want to try to avoid that job again.

I suspect the steps are commingled with other items on a fused line, so disconnecting the fuse might not provide the result you want.

Why not cut one of the power lines to the motor and install a switch on that line? That way you control the steps when parked and there will be no override.

Then You will probably drive away with it still down and really damage the step on something !!!
My thought on this idea!

Hi,
I do that with mine. Under the steps by the motor mine has an inline plug. I just unplug that and put jacks under both sides. It cost me $50 to repair the link. That is what the plug is for so it can be unpluged to repair.

Good luck

I was looking around under there for a disconnect and there is a bright yellow tag on the wires to the motor saying not to cut the motor wires.

I talked to another camper and he also has the plugs to disconnect the motor for repair and he disconnects them for supports.

My wires are solid to the motor, no plugs.

What the heck?

There is a plug there , Either at the Motor end or between the Motor and the controller.

Per our signature, our 99 Endeavour has a plug under the steps, used it a few times trouble shooting.
