Normally the following is true, but some have their pet names for what the initials mean.
DW = dear wife
DD = dear daughter
DH = dear husband, dumb husband, etc.

Alwas thought it ment DE wife And DE daughter or dum wife or daughter or des wife and des daughter but then I learned it was D-am wife and d-am daughter alwas depending on the pleace you use it and can be cinverted for the husband. also please don't let my wife see this.

DW, well the "W" means wife, the "D" can be some others than "Dear"!!

After being in the military most of my life, I will never be able to see the initials DW or DH and not think "dependent wife," etc. I must admit, in this day and age, many wives are not "dependent" on their husband anymore. Some, I would guess
