The built-in infrared LEDs turn on automatically when the light condition turns weak (when illumination is under 10 LUX).

As I suggested. You cannot see infrared leds.

Thanks, as you can tell, I have alot to learn from my first Motorhome.

With all the information you have given me, I take it that it might be wise to replace the rear mirror monitor, and install a better monitor.
Without breaking the bank, can you recommend something that is proven.
Thanks again to everyone.
(p.s. my cable comes down fro the top of the inside windshield at the center)

The monitors that I seem to find alot out there is 3.5".
To the people who have experiance with these units, can you recommend a good type or choice for a replacement monitor that would be better than the one mounted on my windshield and looks like a regular mirror, with half being the monitor and the other half being a mirror to look in the motorhome.
Thanks Again, since I started with my First M.H in September, you folks have made a real impact on our RVing experience.

I've looking for a system to install in a minivan. You'll find a ton of vendors selling monitors on ebay.

Might also look at tadi brothers...link below.
