Don't know about HWY 41. 75 is the famous Alligator Alley that runs across the Everglades...excellent highway and excellent rest areas.

I would take 75 South to the Florida Turnpike...Turnpike to the end and pick up US 1 South.

Very scenic, 2 lane highway. See alligators and all kinds of birds etc. 45 mph is about the average speed with an RV. Not much to none in the line of gas or food. A few rest stops/areas and some viewing areas.

I take 75 east to Rt 27 south, then 997 through Homestead and get Rt 1 just south of Homestead.

Rt 41 has long sections with no place to go if you get a flat or have another problem. Very narrow with guard rails just a couple of feet off the pavement.

I live in Key Largo, take 41 all the time and love it. It gets very remote so have enough gas to get you to 27 where you can get it if you need to. There are also a few rest areas with lots of room for your coach.

It's what we down here call the trail (Tamiami Trail) and is the way to go, unless you're in a real big hurry, which we seldom are, when traveling in our apartment. You'll see lotsa gators from your coach without even pulling over and there are overnight places if one should want to stop and do some bass fishing or wildlife viewing.

I-75 is much safer and faster. I've been both ways, 41 can be dangerous with traffic tailgating and passing is not safe. Your rig will save you in fuel more than what the toll is as you maintain crusing speed. Realy nothing to see on 41 but trees and brush. It will take you about an hour and a half more going 41, as you have to go through the busy city area first.

`It might save you enough fuel for the toll but not when you have 5 axles.
