DH and I have about a week free from Dec 16 - 22nd. We're thinking of a trip from Myrtle Beach maybe to Atlanta area. Any suggestions on route to take, CG to stay in? Things to see and do?
Your help would be appreciated.

Not much in Atlanda area I just returned from Stone Mountain and stayed a spot by the pool had a nice deck not in woods like the other spots. It was about 20 to25 min to down turn. Check out the CNN Tour which I thought was interesting also the Acquarim is really something as well

South of Atlanta near Pine Mountain is FDR State Park which is conviently located near Callaway Gardens and FDR's Little White House, both interesting sights.

Twin Lakes RV Park in Cumming is about the best place to stay. About a 15 minute drive to rapid transit and it is in a very nice upscale part of the metro area. In Atlanta, the Aquarium, World of Coke, CNN Center, Martin Luther King National Historic Area, and the Jimmy Carter Library are worth the visit. About 2 hours south in Warm Springs is FDR Museum and Little White House. Also is Callaway Gardens which will be decorated for Christmas. The state has a nice park there with RV sites...you could camp and do Atlanta, then move to Pine Mountain and camp at FDR State Park.

Be prepared for nasty weather. You can expect the temps below freezing every night with highs in the low 40's with a bone chilling rain. However, you can also expect lows in the 30's with bright sunshine and a warm sun and highs in the 60's.
