Has anyone ever camped in Site 14 at Curry Hammock? I'm trying to find out if we will be able to bring a second vehicle with us. The campground is closed at this time and I can't get any information besides what's available on line.
The reservation site states that it is a 60 ft site and has parking for 2 vehicles. Sometimes campgrounds measure the "spot" for the RV and post that and other times they measure the whole site. Since we have never been there we don't know.
Our 5th wheel is 42 feet long and our truck is 22 feet long. I need to find out if the truck can be parked in front of the camper and an Excursion be parked next to it.
I would appreciate any info or any pictures someone might have of that site.
Thanks

As a volunteer and host there since Curry opened in 2005, I don't believe you will be able leave the truck in front of the fiver. Also the rear of the RV cannot extend beyond the markers defining the campsite. Parking a second vehicle at the campsite is not an option.
Here's a photo of an empty site 14 in the foreground. Our 40' Phaeton and navy blue Jeep are just behind the empty site. This should give you an idea of the space available.
Here's a photo with an Allegro Bus in site 14. Here you can see head-on how much room there is side to side.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info ... I was looking and I guess you were in site 12 and that shows as a 45 ft site and you said your rig was 40 and there was still room to park in front. With 14 being 60 ft long I should be able to park the truck in front of it.
Thanks for the pictures they give a good idea of what the park looks like. We are looking forward to spending Christmas down there this year.

Is the pad for the camper 60 ft long or is the complete campsite 60 ft long? It does look wide enough to park 2 vehicles next to each other and the reservation site says that you can have 2 vehicles.
We stayed in site #8 in August. We have a 32' TT and still had plenty of room for a 4 door truck in front of the TT and another vehicle next to the truck. You will be allowed 2 vehicles in your site. All of the sites are about the same size but imho, site #8 was the only one that had privacy. Also the beaches in the CG are not good for swimming-lots of dead sea grass everywhere and shallow waters.
For us working folks, you've got the money to camp, but no time, or you've got the time but no money!!
