The third seat storage setup on our 07 RT 190P was never very accessible, as the opening was too small to use the area conveniently. When we got the removable armoire from Mobilife RV, it got even worse. This is the only opening into the are, and the fire extinguisher makes the opening even smaller (the Roadtrek armoire does the the same thing).

We decided to try to put a door on the outside of the base for easier access, figuring it would be a very handy place to store our chairs and patio mat, which fit in the base, but were very hard to get in and out. This is with the door open.

With the door closed.

From the inside, showing the piece of oak that was added to support the side cut away for the door.

The armoire is made to work on the older Roadtreks with the seatback non-removable from the bath wall, so it had a hidden area to clear the seat back. It seemed like a bit of a waste, so I cut off the two layers of 3/32" plywood that blocked it off. It turned out to be a pretty good sized area. I am sure we will find something that fits it well.

It was about a 4 hour job.

When our second Xpress Lounger gets here, we will be able to see how well both chairs and our 6 X 9 patio mat fit.
