Just got back (2:30pm)to the Commonewealth from the great B8 Rally. We've been completely unloading it. Unfortunately, I can't get off anymore for real touring activities. The next time the van goes out will be when football season begins in September.
The weather co-operated all during the rally. It was mild and mostly sunny. Food and entertainment was really good. And the show by "President and Mrs. Lincoln" was most entertaining.
And most of all, there was a great group of people there.
I will say there some very strong winds blowing across billiard table flat Illinois yesterday morning. I had to struggle to keep it in my lane.
Looking forward to where next year's B will be located.
Edit: I failed to note the efforts of the organizers of B8, Michael and JaneAnn. They did a great job, as did all the committee heads who contributed so much, included those who couldn't be at B8.

A B9 Rally thread on RV.net has been started. Subscribe to the thread and you will receive an email when there is any discussion about the next rally. Also b-rally.org will continue to chronicle class B rally info.
Use the above B9 rally thread for any nominations for next year's RV.Net Annual Class B Rally. Since the annual RV.Net Class B Rallies are organized by RV.Net CVC forum members, they will not happen without forum members recognizing good sites for the rallies and being willing to nominate a site and then sponsor a rally. There is a lot of support from rally participants for those nominating and sponsoring a site.
The organizing process is here. Keep up the tradition of past rally organizers (Lynne, Sally and Ron, Jim & Carolyn, Nick & Chris, Bruce & Teresa and Michael & JaneAnn) by nominating a site for B9.
I don't have enough vocabulary to express our gratitude to the organizers nor friendship for the participants. We ae still BEEing west of Yankton SD overlooking the Missouri at Lewis and Clark SRA. If anyone is in the area, Come on and we will make it a Bee Social!
Great campground, great food, great people, great B8! Thanks, everyone, for making this another fun weekend. It went by too quickly. I now have the confidence to try out for American Idol--NOT!!!!!!
We actually got to say goodbye to some folks on Monday morning, but we were still the last to leave, of course. Except for Canadian John, but he was staying another night.
Now in our 6th week of travel, home is beckoning. We hope everyone and their loved ones are safe after this terrible weather.

Got home this afternoon after arriving Monday and staying one night in Michigan at Algonac State Park on the St. Clair River to watch the lake freighters pass by. Must say how much I enjoyed meeting all of you!!! Great company, great laughs, great food --- a great time! Thanks to everyone for their warm welcomes. Hope I can do it again next year! Cheers!
p.s. great collective karma in avoiding both the rapture and severe storms!! I danced through quite a few on my way through Illinois and Michigan. whew!

Michael, do you have the amount of money left over for B9 yet?
Jim,
Plan on working on the final numbers this week and weekend. Just got home; had to dodge a few Thunderstorms this afternoon but the rig is in the garage for the night. The amount left over will be lower since we didn't get a couple of Sponsors we had last year. I think if you look at the Sponsor page on the B-rally web page, you will know who we didn't get and it wasn't for lack of trying. A great big THANK-YOU to you for getting the big ones that you did; otherwise we would have nothing at all to move forward.
Thanks for posting the pictures. They are Great! We didn't have too many snapping pictures so I am glad you had your camera at the ready. Here is a clickable LINK
