Locally up here in Alaska both Sams Club and Costco are selling them for 521 and 519 respectively. I'm holding tight to verify dimensions on my truck camper for it's generator box and if I can store it in there for travel I'll be picking it up soon.

Inreresting. And everything costs more in Alaska, right? *LOL* The Costco website lists the parallel kit but not the genny. The Sams site doesn't show price or availability.

Keep an eye on the Costco flyers this year. Costco in Canada had a coupon for $100 off last year - it's when I picked up mine.

After being a Champion owner for 3 (or is it 4?) years, and spending most of last night reading this thread, I'm ready to take the plunge on the 2000i. Several searches on Google and checks of the sites of common discounted price outlets for this genny (sam's, Costco, ect) show it out of stock almost everywhere. I've only found it listed for sale at $599 or higher (home depot-$817 !). Anyone know of any good deals currently available? I've got until June before I "need" it but I WANT it! *LOL*

Suggestion: Call Champion at 1-877-338-0999. Tell them where you are and ask where you can purchase their 2000i at the lowest possible price.

Several of the outlets for CPE products do not stock the product, they only broker it. Once you order the generator it is actually shipped from CPE in CA.

According to one of the post, What is the difference between the red version and the yellow version. I noticed at Costco they had a red one for sale, but on the Champion website they only show a yellow one? One of my friend said the difference as The "red" version does not have a circuit breaker - it depends upon the 450 ms overload in the inverter module to shut down if rated power is exceeded. The "yellow" version has a 13.3 amp circuit breaker that will trip above 1600 watts after about 5 seconds. Please produce some more attachments about the topic to view detail information.

I had a rare moment... Two Honda eu2000i's at my disposal. I was curious and couldn't help myself so I did it. I wanted to see if they would or could start my 13500k AC unit on my travel trailer on eco-mode. I am unable to do it with the Champion inverters paralleled on eco-mode. In-fact, I have to have a switch to turn off the blower motor to allow the unit to start up with the Champion's in play.

The Honda's did it with barely a hiccup. This is solely for comparison. Yes, I know, the Champion is not a Honda. Many have wondered who don't have them to try. And to get a pair with cable for over $2000.

Enjoy. Hope everyone is off to a good start this camping season.

Your posts go to a link to sell it online. However, what you have stated is exactly right. The 450ms (both of my modules have been replaced) allows for a better chance at starting those marginal loads. I have been able to start my skill saw and pancake compressor without issue, where previously that was not possible.
