My Allison transmission manual ('97) calls for Dextron II, which is no longer available. Is there any particular brand or spec Dextron fluid Allison recommends for the 3060 transmission? The Beave 30' 1997 Beaver Monterey (The shortest DP we could find) 2005 Honda CR-V Remco surge brake

Call them but I think they will tell you to switch to Transyd.

Switch to Allison's synthetic as noted above.

Price the 5 gallon pail. That is what you need (on mine leaves one quart left over).

Not sure about your 3060 but there was a list of serial numbers and at a point on the list they did not recommend using the newer dexron fluids something about the new fluid and the older seals in the transmission this of course was on the Allison in my truck which I think is the 2000 better check with Allison they have a pretty good website. They were talking about dexron VI which is the current standardand that was backwards compatible
