Wife and I are considering snowbirding in Louisiana or Alabama this winter. Would be interested in people's comments and any park recommendation you might have. Are the temperatures in January and February reasonable in those areas? Recall that temperatures last winter were on the cool side in Florida and Texas.
Also would consider workcamping if there any openings.
Thanks,
Bob and Sue

Consider Gulf Shores AL, and Foley AL
on rvparkreviews.com. PM me with
questions. Temperatures can be
around 30F for a few days, then
60F for many days. It is NOT
tropical..........gets cold,
but for short periods.

Daily Double,
Change of pace, we have been to Florida three times and Texas twice. Arizona is in the planning for 2012.

Can't comment on LA. Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores AL suits us perfectly!!! However, this location is a long way from southern FL and you take your chances with the weather. Another good park is Island Retreat RV park in Gulf Shores but it doesn't come close to GSP for us. Good Luck!

Spent 2 winters in Mississippi .... nice folks but too cold. Even with thermopane windows and free power we moved the couch forward and coverd the window behind it with a beach towel so the cold air would fall behind it and not over it. A long January .....
