Hi,

Check the starter battery and see if it is dead as a dodo. Check the alternator for output.

Your batteries are KAPUT!...get the hydrometer out, test them all, decide if any are worth saving, then time to go shopping...IMHO, once one dies, I replace them all......Dennis

If the Battery should be OK, then check to see if you are putting out a charge while running the engine... Could have run until it drained the battery?

Check your alternator, output may be low or none at all.

I beleive the OP is refering to the generator start switch. Sounds like when he pushes the switch to start generator it starts, but when he takes his finger off the switch, the generator dies. Does that sound right? It sounds like the generator start switch is the problem, not the batteries. Just my 2 cents.

The aux button to start the engine is what i was talking about. The engine will start and then die when i let it go.The motor died when i tried to start gen.Now it wont do nothing when i try to start motor. But it will start with aux start and then die when i let go of button.

I believe you're talking about the MH engine-----not the generator engine. I also think that your chassis battery is dead and that, possibly, the alternator is not working on your MH engine. Start it again using the auxiliary battery switch and keep that switch held down for a couple of minutes while watching your voltmeter. The voltmeter, before hitting the aux switch, should show a low (or no) voltage when you turn the key on. When you hit the aux switch, it should jump up to around 10-12 volts. Once the MH engine is running, the voltmeter should read 13-14 volts. If the voltage doesn't go up after a few minutes of running, something is wrong with the alternator or connections.

Come to think of it, cleaning the connections on the chassis battery would be a good idea also.
