Does anyone else wish there was a forum for "Part-time RVing?"

I won't be part-timing for about 11 years, but it interest me. Full-timing is not a lifestyle that interests me, but the Full-time RVing forum seems to cover many of the concerns that I would have in Part Timing.

Do you think there is a need for this sub category?

If I only go a week a year then that is 'part-time'. I do not think there is a need.

OK ,,, so far it appears that there is no need...

And I would disagree that the majority are part timers in my definition.

Since I may be in the minority here, I would love to see a forum sub category for RVers that "RV more than 3 months in a year and less than 7 months continuously and then return to their home",,,,

But that may take up to much heading space,,,,

Thanks for entertaining the thought.

A "part-timer's" biggest concern is returning someplace to check on all their stuff. The cure for that is becoming a full timer. However, that in itself creates different concerns and thus the separate forum heading.

Isn't part timing what all but full timers do?

I believe that the majority of us on the forum are part timers, that is probably why there is a catagory for full timers,(they are in the minority) but we all wish we could join this group.

Perhaps the snowbird forum would address a lot of your concerns. No?

Since full time RV'ing is the less predominate one of the two styles, I assume most of the content of these forums is, in fact, aimed at ... and is most intended for and read by - the part-time RV'er!

Therefore, IMHO, there is no need to have a "special" section for part-timing.

Special sections for full time RV'ing do make sense to me, however, since that is the style with the lesser number of participants.

P.S. What might be interesting is a forum for RV'ers who move a lot on the road when part-timing versus RV'ers who mostly stay put when part-timing. Some issues are definitely different between these two part time styles.

Not sure what you mean by part-timing. Are you referring to those who go south for a few months for instance? I'll be part of that group of part-timers in two more winters!!

So far, most of the questions I have get answered in the full-timers sections.
