Decoding the SMD LED
The following are the detailed description for these specifications:
SMD 0603 (inch): conversion to metric is 1005, means the length of LED components is 1.0mm, width 0.5mm. So by metric it is called SMD 1005, By inch, it is called SMD 0603.
SMD 0805 (inch): conversion to metric is 2125, means the length of LED components is 2.0mm, width 1.25mm. So by metric it is called SMD 2125, By inch, it is called SMD 0805.
SMD 1210 (inch): conversion to metric is 3528, means that the length of LED components is 3.5mm, width 2.8mm. So by metric it is called SMD 3528, By inch, it is called SMD 1210.
SMD 5050 (metric): This is called by the metric, means that the length of LED components is 5.0mm, width 5.0mm.

I must've been in a hurry when posted the response below. My apologies. I had it in my head that you were discussing the merits of panels vs. LED bulbs.
The flat SMD LEDs replaced those little bulbs a little while back. The old glass covered ones like that were generally pretty low in output. I have no experience with the panels you posted. But it sounds like you may have begun to answer some of your own questions regarding individual LED types. Good work!

#1 w/ flat LED's
or
#2 w/ rounded Bulb looking LED's

If the panels will fit, they will generally place a little more of the light they produce... where it's needed most.
Cheers,

My new swarm white LED panels came in the mail today. Nine days ahead of estimated delivery date. I was skeptical dealing with a company in China and really in the whole thing. I got some great help from Ken and the lites work perfectly. Light output is, by my estimation about double my old incodescent bulbs. May order more for the rest of my rig. Thanks again Ken

I'm curious, which LED panels did you buy and what incandescent bulbs did you replace?
Glad to hear that you are pleased with the results.

My test purchase was changing out two #906 incondesents on a twin bulb fixture. I bought two 943/BA95/festoon Dome bulb 24-5050 SMD. The lite output of these is amazingly bright and exactly what I was looking for. I got up this morning and placed an order for six more to do the rest of my rig. BTW How long do they last?

I ordered replacements for all of my interior lights in my TT. I hope to get them soon!
I purchased my lights from ebay and they will be coming from Hong Kong. I used the buyer from the original post in the thread, but to save even more money, I contacted the seller Duan-led2010 and told him I wanted a group price for all the lights I was buying. End result was I got all my lights at a reduced bulk cost which saved me around 20%
I ordered
3pcs"BA15S 1156 1141 SMD bulb 13-5050 SMD LED,Warm White, DC12V, #13ZWW" (For my dome fixture above my dinette)
16pcs "BA15S 1156 1141 Dome bulb 36-1210 SMD LED,Warm White" (to replace all interior overhead lights {exept oven hood light})
No matter where you buy your lights, it doesn't hurt to ask the seller for a group price!!!
Hope this helps!

Those 24 5050 panels are bright, glad you like them. I believe they are spec'd for 50,000 hours, probably a lot longer than you will have your RV. I don't think anyone really knows. When I was working at IBM it was said that semiconductors had no known burn-out mechanism.

It's been two weeks since I ordered my lights.
I guess they are literally on a slow boat from China.
Maybe I'll get them tomorrow.
