3+ years ago I got a flat screen tv. I got a wall mount swing bracket and mounted it to a cabinet I had built that goes above the front seats. The bracket is turned 90 degrees from the way it was made to go. We have doors on both sides of the home at the front seats and the cabinet is right above them. The tv swings up when we are driving. We have driven several thousand miles with this set up and haven't had any problems. The only limiting thing is the room between the pilot and co-pilot seats but if we always would turn them before we let the tv down we could put in a huge tv.

Deviousracing, is that the mount with the plate on the wall?
I'm thinking of having my husband add one like that to ours. I'd rather take our current 37" in the spare bedroom, than buy a new one to sit in the AZ heat.
Looks good, BTW.

Or you could mount one of these automated tv lifts in your cabinet.

yes just a standard wall mount, i just had to find one that lined up to the old tv cabinet then I reinforced it, even though it weights less than the tv I took out
