Our new TT will have a ladder on the rear. Does anyone hang things like chairs or blue totes from the ladder and if so, what are you using as the accessory? tks

I often strap a step ladder to the rear ladder using bungee cords. That's about the only use I've found for it

I bought an inexpensive rack that hangs from the ladder rungs, designed to hang lawn chairs from. I mount it low, and use it to support my gray/black water tote. Rack carries the weight (empty, of course!), and I use a short ratchet strap to keep it from moving.

I hope you can hang something from it cause i sure wouldn't climb on it. Had to laugh the other day when we went by an RV service center and a guy was on a step ladder right next to the RV ladder getting onto the roof. Light weight piece of junk doesn't look like it's good for much..

Hi,

Those bicycles bouncing up and down can surely do damage to the ladder rack. I would not recommend more than about 50 pounds on the rack while you are towing. When going over pot holes you have up and down G forces that can be 3 times the weight when parked.

Your blue tote empty, and a couple of chairs should not be a problem. However I would put my chairs inside, so they stay clean and dry. If you do put them on the rack, they may get scratched, just make sure you use 2-4 bungy cords, and a ratcheting strap, so they don't fly off at highway speeds, and into some other car, or it's path.

rv accessory dealers have a hanger for the ladder so you can carry about three or four chairs on it. just tie them down real good. the guy following you will appreciate it.

Well just like normal ladders it has a weigh rating (this sticker is usually on the under side of one of the bottom two rungs) so if you don't trust the ladder installed on your TT then you should do the same with all the normal ladders.
