i am thinking of getting a fver that has a listed height of 13 ft and just thinking that trees will be a big problem, how tall are yours and have you had any problems

Most are in the 12' neighborhood. Does an extra foot make much difference? I doubt it. You have to be watchful either way.

Ours was 13' and a few inches - on neighborhood streets and a few narrow country roads, trees were a problem. But it isn't a big enough problem to factor into the equation when you are buying. That same height allows tall ceilings which are nice. Everything is a trade-off!!

Our 5er was taller than listed on the brochure. Don't want to assume the clearance.

Ours is 13"2" hitched. It was listed at 12"11". So far height has not been an issue where we choose to travel. Still, I try to be ever vigilant for those low overhangs!

Mines 13-3 to the top of the front a/c unit..I travel a road regularly with a train trestle thats posted at 13-5..I'm too chicken to try it so I always go around..Also need to watch for any low hanging branches..

usually that 13ft. + height comes when you have a bed room air conditioner. My jayco designer is 13ft. 2in. If I had paid attension when I ordered it I would have insisted on a low profile air in front lowering height by 4in.
I watch posted heights of over passes and have had a couple times when posted heights were 13 4 or 13 6 hoping they were accurate and no bouncing as I went under at hiway speeds.
I see a few models at 13ft. 4in. I thing that is pushing the limits at least here in the east where a lot of old overpasses exist on state roads and we have a couple tunnels on interstates posted at 13.6.

Ours is 13'3" ( figure 13'6" for safety) and it is rarely a problem.
