Wife, Grandaughter and I just got home from 4 days at Paint Creek State Park, Ohio. We were the first campers of then season to check in at the office and we had the entire park to ourselfs for the 4 days. The trees are just starting to bud and the campground is in great shape. We have camped here often and always enjoy it but it was even better having it to ourselfs. I even put in an application to be a camp host for this year.

I'm looking at this park this year. Maybe you can answer a few questions? We have a 30' camper,is this an issue there? Also I looked at the premium sites (with the decks} They don't come up on the pre registration on line. Do you know anything about these? Thanks for any help. Mike

Not a problem for a 30 footer. The deck sites are ok but you don't have much of a flat area for chairs or other items as the deck sites are built so that their is a slope on each side. This is one of the nicest parks in the state. I am a camp host their and will be there the entire months of April, July and October. I have a 35 foot toy hauler. All the camp host are some of the beat people you will ever meet. We are ready and willing to help you any way we can. The campground has two camping areas, one for campers with pets and one for no pets. Great camp store with a friendly staff. We just put in a disc golf course last summer and the putt putt golf course in in great shape. Lots of trails for hiking and also have mountian bike trails.

Thanks, for the help. We were looking at going in August. We spend a lot of time at Lake Hope. I have been to Paint Creek but it was many years ago. My family is from the area. It is beautiful around there. MIke
