My R/T doesn't really have room for 2 sets of golf clubs, so I have ordered a carrier for the tow hitch. Any one had experience of carriers and might these be any problems.

Do you have the Continental Spare Tire hitch on the back of your RT? If you do you may find that it is in the way of the carrier hitch. You need to clear the tire sticking out. There have been a number of discussions about this regarding bicycle carriers.

I am thinking about buying a used one of these locally.
Cargo Carrier
If it blocks the rear license plate when I have cargo on it, do I need to place the plate on the cargo carrier? Thanks,

goreds2 - This one would save you about $100 and be lighter too Aluminum Carrier at Harbor Freight.
The question about license plate visibility varies by State Law.

I am also looking for a carrier for my RT 19P. The carrier from Harbor Freight looks good, but it probably will not fit around the continental tire kit. Don't know if it could be modified to fit.

I did get this via Craigslist for 100 bucks. I think it does give a gap past the spare tire plus I had to purchase a 1 1/4 converted to 2 inch hitch adaptor. That was 30 bucks. I will post a picture when I have it connected.
I will check on the license plate question unless someone else has Ohio information. Thanks,

Since a Harbor Freight store is within 1 mile from home, I can attest to the fact that it could be easily modified as it has a bolted upper framework. Moving a couple uprights by drilling new holes should not be too difficult. If you look at the picture shown on the Harbor Freight website you see that the top of the carrier is about the same height as the top of the bumper. Not sure where your tire carrier on your RT is located with reference to your rear bumper.

I don't know if there is one available, but I have a front hitch receiver on my Ford F350. It was an easy bolt on. I use it for a carrier like some of the ones above as well as a motorcycle carrier that I haul my scooter with. Having a front hitch receiver is very handy for moving trailers in tight spaces and launching jet ski's etc. You may be able to buy a replacement bumper that has one built in also.

Something to consider.
Depending on what you carry on a front hitch, and the outside temp, it can have a big impact on the cooling system. Bicycles, probably not a big problem, but you won't want to put a cover on them.
