Rally On!!
And just where were you? Not to many "old-timers" at this one.
Hi Guys,
I Hope you guys are doing great!
Well just like you guys I have had a lot of stuff going on in my life and I don't have the motorhome anymore. I have a camping trailer but I still don't have the lights & brake controller wired up yet.
I did think about driving in on Saturday Morning just to visit for the day and of course for Dennis's yummy Bloody Mary's but I don't have anyone's numbers anymore to call to get in or to let them know that I was coming in.
If I am still living in this state next year I will make it out to the next rally. I know like a lot of the others I have never missed one of these since it started 9 years ago with the exception of the last few. Hopefully next year I will be there.

Try the link and let me know if it works. I posted a few I took. You can find last years pics on the site too.

It's always a joy to show up somewhere, hang out with like minded friends, drink, eat ,drink and tell lies with each other. A great rally can not be ruined by weather...not when there are fantastic folks in attendance!!! We all had a great time which was only marred by a rear tire blow out on the way home(should've attended the tire seminar....KARMA!) Sign us up for next year.
We thought that was you, sorry we didnt get into position to stop and help by the time we realized it. We were digging around to see if we could find your cell phone, glad it was just a tire and you got home safe. See ya at the Hot Springs!
Hey everyone! Thanks for making us newbies feel welcome! It was great to meet many of you, and as next years "Wagon Mister", I hope to introduce myself formally to everyone next year.
I'll start next years post shortly, and we are already "reserved" for the entire loop and a few spots near Vince.
For those on Facebook, send me a friendvitation, Adam Roof from Camarillo, CA (not my doppleganger on the east coast, ya, theres two of my name somehow!). I created an RV.Net Camp Calendar group that i'll add you to. Then you can invite your friends list to the group as well. Its just a second place to have info, will be duplicate of whats on here, so no need if you dont have Facebook.
Dang Vince, sorry to hear that. Glad to hear you guys are OK, Did the tire give you any indication that it was going to let go?
We had one ALMOST go on our truck (when we had our 5th wheel)driving to Oceanside. I started to feel a vibration and it was slowly getting worse and I was just about to pull over when I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the drivers rear tire looking really weird. We pulled off the freeway by San Onofre and was thankful the RV gods were looking over us. Had a patch about 8-10 inches long of tread that was almost separated from the tire. the tread was all warped and REALLY hot where it was deformed. Needless to say, we bought all new Michelins and trashed the Firestones as soon as we got home.
Adam, Looking forward to next year already and I think Linda just 'friended' you on FB. Granted, I know this is not a sure thing regarding site locations, but we would love to have the site next to Vince and Ellie that we had this time. With our noisy dogs, it worked out perfect not being on the inner circle and them annoying anyone. Also, for the non-FB folks like me, a new rally post in this section of the forum would be good too..

Mike, the only indication we got was a couple of nice guys who passed us in a van and yelled" Hey, Dummy, you got a flat tire!!!" As I started to slow down and pull to the side, Ellie told me that chunks of tire were flying off. I think we got over before any damage was done to the rim, but the tire mostly gone. We have cosmetic damage to the fender covers and a rip in the underbelly enclosure. It could've been worse. While I was changing the tire, Ellie tried to call Good Sam Roadside Assistance, but they kept transfering her to some chat line! That was weird...we never got that from the Camping World coverage. I plan to call Good Sam and complain, if I can get through.
