I am looking to buy a new generator and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on the Ryobi 2000W. How does it compare to the Honda 2000W?

Thx

I couldn't find any hits on it here, but judging by the specs I've seen where they don't list the db rating, it's probably, no, definitely louder than a red or blue one.

i agree, nowhere could i find the db rating on it. not even on Ryobi's website nor the owner's manual.

could be they're hiding something?

If the Ryobi genny is not any better than a Ryobi 2 cycle string trimmer I had, I would pass on the Ryobi and buy a Honda or Yamaha. I also had a Ryobi cordless drill. I only used it around the house; guess what: in less than 2 years the charger failed and I could not recharge the batteries. IMO, you pay for what you get.

Got two red Honda's and love them both. IMHO stay away from Ryobi tools, etc.

I bought some Ryobi tools in an attempt to save money. I now consider them cheap low quality product. I would expect the Ryobi generator to be the same.

We are all trying to save during these economic times, but you will not be saving in buying the Ryobi; remember the old adage - You get what you pay for." Hold out for the Honda or Yamaha....you will not regret it - been there and done the less expensive route - it cost me big time when it was all over. I now have two Honda 2000's and wouldn't get rid of them for anything. Oh yeah, I now have a MH with a generator, but the versatility of the Honda's.....priceless. Safe travels.

I own the Ryobi gen set. Its well made and I would recommend it. Topsun makes it for Ryobi. They are a world class company that markets the gen set under their own name in other countries for allot more money. If you look in the petro saw section of the web site I posted below you will see a familiar looking product. You can pay more for a Honda if you feel the need The Ryobi/Topson is just as good. The owners manual reveals who makes the unit in the warranty section in case you wander where I got the info. You can download the manual on the Ryobi site and check my references.

You folks can knock Ryobi all you want. I think it is good stuff. I don't even know how old my weed eater is or the saws all. Forget what other swtuff is Ryobi out there.

I am totally satisfied with what I paid for.
