I'd love to hang out for the scouting visit, that's a long ways for me and I'd have to leave a few days ahead and thus my rig isn't ready for a trip like that and not only that its kind of out of the way for my other trip plans
I'd like to try the mini but I understand its quite packed (the park) and not exactly going to put myself into a sardine situation after what happened last time (not at the rally, before I got there) but I have to be back in Grants Pass by the end of August anyway... I'm due for my semi annual vision exam as they continue to contemplate surgery, etc etc... they keep saying in 5-10 years

Shannon, wow, what kind of surgery are they contemplating on your eyes?? You didn't seem old enough for cataract surgery but then again, at 46, I don't look old enough for cataracts but I have them so who knows?

Eventually I need a cornea transplant, but they have a procedure that is less invasive assuming they can even do it where they add live cells from another cornea into mine to give it more strength and longevity as mine are still continuing to fail. I have Glaucoma which puts more pressure/stress on the cornea.
They figured if they are going to operate they might as well put lenses in my eyes to help with further acuity corrections but at this point they are not sure how much they want to do in fear of losing what good vision I have as it could take 6-18 months before I could regain or exceed what acuity I would need.
So yeah, I go to the Dr every 6 months either to OHSU or to my local Dr

How about those recipes?????? Did you forget?
Its too soon, I can't go, I'll be getting the front cap and the slide seals redone That project will begin after memorial day weekend and we're waiting for the back seal on the light fixture to completely expand before we add the outer silicon seal.
My friend was able to help me do a seals inspection and while doing so we found stress cracks in the fiberglass most of it isn't serious or noticeable unless one takes the time to look for them. I also have damage to the fiberglass where the old scare light used to be, the fiberglass weakened but with plastic drywall case screw supports they should grip better but eventually that part of the fiberglass and insulation wil need to be replaced if/ I ever have to replace the new scare light.
I'll be installing minor add-ons hopefully, like new rain gutter spouts and an exhaust pipe to redirect generator exhaust to eliminate fumes and CO2 issues in the bedroom slide.
Oh I got my awning fixed! YAY! But I do need to replace the fabric, so I might do that in Arizona if I go. I probably won't replace the water pump this time around unless it is unusable and even then not sure it the water pump is what is causing my FW tank to fill while connected to city water.
I'll make my reservation as soon as my replacement debit card arrives, right now its locked for security reason (I needed a new one, as my old one was failing)
I hope to be back on the road mid June sometime, we'll see.
Did anyone else have a problem with Brookhollow having never received their online reservation request or the online payment? We ended up having to pay twice, once to their online reservation service and once to the park itself, because the reservation service did not pass along the payment. Of course, the managers at Brookhollow have been "out" for days, so the person answering the phone says, and the people at their online reservation service, a third party, also don't answer so we've put a credit dispute on our card for the issue. Bleah. I will never go back to Brookhollow again. This is the third time they've messed us up. Glad we're going elsewhere for the next rally.

I wanted to reserve online, but I saw nowhere to select our group rates so I called them instead... so far I haven't had any major trouble with RV parks (yet) *knock on wood* the only incident I had was the Woodburn, OR park kicked me out at 9am the day of my checkout so they could do some paving when my agreement (and I paid/signed for) 12pm check out so I said to heck with it and left that night as I did not want to get up 5 hours before I had to leave (why rush? AND I got back to GP at 11:30am that same morning so they got pwned!
I have done worse, not RV related... but I went to go visit my cousin in Honolulu, I goofed on my reservation for dormitory (Hostel) stay they didn't have any male rooms, and the only hotel on the island had only 2 nights so I ended up leaving 3 days early (actually there were other hotels that would have accommodated me the entire stay if I wanted to pay 5x$300
