You're camper is a real inspiration for me and others with Avion campers. I don't plan on polishing mine but you have forced me ( in a good way ) to make sure my restoration is at least up to factory standards. Thank you.

THe polishing is BEAUTIFUL! And the patches just add character, but I do not think that I have the stamina to do this on my C-10...

Thanks Garry! I'm not sure I'd have the stamina to do it again either. I'm so close now though that I think I'll make it!

Well, guys, I'm back. I haven't even looked at the site for the past month or so since I was so caught up with another project. But, its nearly finished, so I'll soon turn my attention back to the Avion restore. It was great catching up, especially the work on shining the C-11. Awesome job.

My 68 C11 has awning rails on both sides of the camper I see some of the pics there is no rails installed. Was this a factory option ? I'd like to have awnings on both sides for the shade and increased outdoor space if it rains. The rails are for what I call the " old school " style of awning meaning you slide it into the rail and pull it full length, then use adjustable pole/ropes/stakes to get it tight. Is it possible to mount the newer crank out style on the Avion ? On mine the space from the rail to the top frame of the side windows is only about and inch or two so not much room for the " box " of a crank out awning. I also wouldn't mind an awning over the back door but considering a prop up 10x10 free standing cover for that if the height would work with the camper door.

Interesting this one has a Stable Lift. I wonder if the actually use it. Do you have more photos, or a link to where there may be more photos?

Looks like the front loop was cut off the stable-lift so that it could be loaded onto the fuso.
