He needs to be seriously penalized. Not money, which he has tons of, but jail, community service or something serious. Taking his license is no big deal, he has enough money to hire a driver, and he probably has one most of the time, anyway. Rob Moroso killed an innocent, young mother, by his reckless behavior.

If it would have been you or me doing that they would have impounded our car and put us in jail.Just because he's a Nascar driver doesn't make him any better than the rest of us.Everyone should be treated equal, but its ovivious the Irdell sheriffs dept shows favortism.

Quote: If idiocy were a crime, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch should be in the slammer.
Busch was stopped along Perth Road in Iredell County on Tuesday afternoon after an Iredell County sheriff's deputy clocked him going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone. That's right - 83 mph over the speed limit.
This was on a rural two-lane road where, thank goodness, no school buses or pedestrians or stray dogs or anything else got in Busch's way. His wife was in the car with him.
This state's legal system tends to treat speeding as an innocent prank. It most assuredly is not. Speed-related accidents kill some 10 people a week in the state, far more than die in alcohol-related accidents. Until the courts take it seriously - as they should in Kyle Busch's case - the bloodbath will only continue.

To me, a 45-mph speed limit implies it's twisty, or congested, or residential/industrial; or within a city's limits. To drive 60 would be crazy; to dive 100+ is off-the-charts stupid. HE may be a good driver - but what about all the other stuff in life that happens on a public road like kids/pets/wildlife....
Unfortunately, aside from making him go to jail - there's not much they can do to him that will "hurt". And either his wife is a total airhead - or SHE needs to go to jail with him for not stopping such stupid behavior.

Does any one know what kind of car the police officer was driving ? Maybe Kyle could buy a dozen of those and still have money left over. Or did they just use there radio to catch him. They still don't make a car that can out run the radio.

He didn't try to "out run" them.
They clocked him with radar, flashed him and he pulled over.

He screwed up, pure and simple. This time he got lucky.
But, I just don't believe it'll change the way he drives on the racetrack. Therefore, I shall remain a big fan,......for MY entertainment.

My guess is he will get off with a slap. No telling how much money the "Coach" will have to spend under the table to make this go away. Normal folks would be in jail (as he should be).
Sure am glad I'm not his PR handlier! He can drive but he is an idiot.

Sure would like to drive that car for a few miles. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds! I can see how Kyle would get a little carried away.
