to clean the dometic windows you have to solutions :
the first and the cheaper, but the longest : with toothpaste you clean the windows with large circular movements and after you rinse with water; efficient but long process, be patient !!

The second solution is with Dometic (Seitz) products in one kit that I believe you can find in USA :

the kit Dometic (Seitz)

Clean with water and dry your windows. Apply the polish during 3-5 minutes in vertical or horizontal sense.

Rinse the polish with lukewarm water, let dry it.

pulverize the anti-static protective product

With the given special rag clean the bay top-down or from the left to the right. Seitz deeply disadvises movement circulars! Renew operation a second time and let dry cleaning him acrylic.

You will have a windows like a screen in 16/9 !

Good job, well done.

Electronic equipment gets scratched... stores like Allied or Radio Shack or Frys here in the states often have a three part polish to remove the scratces The finest is very fine.

I guess that would work on acrylic skylights, mine have lots of scuff marks on them from tree branches.

I went to the aircraft parts store and bought some Meguiar's Mirror Glaze plastic polish. I used this stuff for years on my airplane windshield. Works great on my Dometic (Seitz) acrylic windows.

Thanks Thierry,

That is useful. The windows on my Shadow Cruiser are glass, but the moon roof is probably made of the same stuff as your windows and is getting pretty opaque - you can see it in the last picture on my post about the home-made tie-downs.

How much did that cleaning kit cost (in Euros)?

I have some glass polish - I wonder if that would do the trick.

Steve.

Hi Steve,
The kit cost around 25€ but you could find cheaper in other brand, there is a lot now ! I think all plastic polishes will be efficient. I wrote with this Seitz kit because I used it on my first camper NordStar (Swedish) and it worked very well.
Perhaps you can try your polish in a small part of your roof, if do not work you could always clean it with a good polish.

You can also use almost any good plastic cleaner/polish like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360194273843&ssPageName=STRKEWNX:IT

I use this to clean and recondition the plastic TV/RV and ATV head and taillight lens, face shields of the helmets etc.

Smart bus. people!

First they create a window that scratches.
And than they create stuff to remove scratches!

It's like Harley Davidson, they make 80% of their bikes without a decent seat for the passenger. Guys with wifes or gril friends need to buy an extra seat.

Lol.
