I purchased the EZ Hose Carrier for my Coleman Bayside Pupup. I attached it to the under the rear bumper. I have a motor drive to lift the lid and a spare tire attached to the bumper so I could not mount it on top. My question is: Has anyone tried this? It looks like the carrier does not hang lower that the water tank. So it doesn't reduce the ground clearance.

I have not taken the camper out yet this year and due to family emergencies it appears that it won't go out this year at all. So I thought I would check to see if there would be a problem with this mod.

While "ground clearance" may not be reduced; the angle you can traverse will decrease. Such as going in or out of a driveway.

That thought crossed my mind also. Maybe I will see if I can move it forward some.

I thought I would move the carrier forward. There is a transverse support beam with holes in it to accomodate the gas/water lines and lifting cables. I'm thinking that this would be a better location.
