I actually will feel safer having these on my bank of batteries than my present converter. At least these won't trash my bank if they fail. At 400mA of current, there's not enough juice to do anything.

Oh, so you DO know what the thread is about! I'm still not understanding what your house has to do with battery tenders which is what this thread is about. My comment was I feel comfortable with this battery tender on my bank of batteries. Quite on topic since the discussion is about battery tenders not houses. I also said that 400mA isn't going to do anything to batteries. Please explain how 400mA will do any damage.

Got one hooked up to my bank now! Readings were taken after an hour. Temps @ 100 degrees (37 C).
