Heard last Thursday that my American build 5er is now completed. If it can make it to Baltimore from Oklahoma by Monday the 6th it will start its 11 day sea journey to Liverpool UK on thursday the 9th. I'm apprehensive , but maybe USA logistics of this kind are more reliable than here. fingers crossed

Trucking is generally quite reliable here in the US barring any major weather events. It could even end up on a train but probably not. Have no idea about the ocean leg, I assume it will go as deck cargo.

I don't know what size fifth wheel you are speaking of, but it it is over 25ft they usually hook onto it with a pick-up truck and pull it to its destination. I would say that it will be a fifty fifty chance that your fiver will make it the 1,200 mile trip to Baltimore by Monday June 6th.

Its been built by the Allen camper manufacturing co. branded as a KountryLite. 26ft X 7'6". Soft furnishings, TVs, Road lighting and mains electrics all have to be added or modified here to meet UK safety regs. ie. flame retardent fabrics, Amber turn lights independant from brake lights, Television with automatic satelite finding dish and a 240v ac electric system.
I to, am not to confident in it making Baltimore today, but as myself and DW are flying out to Calgary on Thursday for a vacation to the Rockies, Vancouver then a cruise to Alaska It'll be no big deal if its another 2 weeks.
Thanks for your interest
