As I think about it, a wife is a "hookup"... And hopefully a good one. I get a lot of "energy" from mine and she's a fine cook.

I see you have a Honda 2000. That runs my toaster and coffee pot just fine ;-)

If you like doing one slice at a time, and you like your toast more 'floppy' then yes. For people who like crispier toast, faster is not better.

I can't believe all these 'heart attack' toast answers!
Our forefathers coming across the plains in covered wagons didn't worry about having toast in the mornings. My god, you people are getting soft.

LOL.......Real RVers only camp in horse drawn wagons.

We've prepared breakfast toast for the past 25 years using the oven on broiler setting. Doing so also helps to warm up the trailer on cool/cold mornings.

Yep. Texas toast. Slather it with butter, butter the pan, and fry it up. (Don't tell your doc, though. )

Now if you tear out a small hole in the center of the bread, then butter both sides. Drop it on the heated frying pan & break an egg into the hole. DH wants his yolk hard so I break his but I don't break mine. Turn when the bread looks like toast & cook the other side. Now, you have egg & toast all in one !!

My wife calls those "egg in a hat".

Just had some this weekend while we NOT camping.

We don't even use the butter we just toast the bread on a cast iron griddle.

So the egg in a hat sounds appealing. Except I am having a hard time imagining how small of an egg I will need so it stays in that small hole in the bread.

Can someone take a pic next time for me? thanks.
