Did you take the tiedowns complete loose before you Jacked up the front... if not the weight of the camper was pulling doen where the jacks attach... and the weight of the trucvk... and the motion or humans inside shaking the weight

I'm going to say this for newbe's that might be reading this...

I have a rule...

"Never put a jack down until all of the tie downs are removed completely" Murphy will stick his head up and yell " If it can go wrong it usually will!"

They are not levelers

I throw short pieces of 2" X 6" wood under my wheels to level the camper...wheather I'm in the high desert, on a beach or parked in a Walmart over night... wood blocks (no jacks)

good luck on your repairs... I like the aluminum diamond plate idea.

you should also check your homeowners insurance. I have been ammazed at what all ours has covered over the years. At free standing, tube frame shade shelter destrov=yed by wind were replaced at least twice, a riding lawn mower was replaced after it caught on fire during repairing it, and I have been told that the TC is covered when off the truck.
