Just spent some time at Junebug campground just out of Red River NM. We didn't want to fight the Memorial Day crowd so we left on monday thinking everyone would be going home.
It worked. There was almost no one there even on friday and saturday. The nearest was about 200 ft or more away. The weather was perfect. No AC or heat needed, altho it did get in the high 40s F after midnight.

Great pics! We have been camping in that NF campground for thirty years. You talk about good sleeping! Open those windows at night and listen to that little Red River and enjoy those 40s when it is in the 90s or higher at home. That is why we have a RT !!

This past week we traveled around upper Wisconsin to see the water falls. We had a lot of rain and the falls were just beautiful. The sound of the falls were so loud you couldn't hear each other talk. This is one of three state parks we visited that had the best water falls.

Pattison State Park near Superior WI
Who would have thought we had something this beautiful.
